Influences: Jim, Jack and Wilf who worked at T.B. Browne, one of my first jobs. All highly skilled specialists who knew how to work hard and have fun doing it. As l still had a distinct country accent they called me Cabbagepatch. They called the studio boy Nerk, so l wasn't too upset.
Other influences possibly the day Kennedy was shot. I remember reading it on the newstand at Green Park tube station on my way home.
Other than that, falling out of a train parked for the night in a siding taught me not to ride and drink.
Never had much time or interest in any specific movies except Pink Floyd - The Wall, Harold & Maud and Rocky Horror Picture Show.
